Make New Year’s Eve memorable at one of the most unique celebrations on Delmarva - Princess Anne’s Midnight Muskrat Dive

 

Ring in the New Year in Historic Downtown Princess Anne, Maryland. Help Marshall Muskrat welcome 2023 as he descends to Somerset Avenue at midnight for his “Midnight Muskrat Dive.”

 

Bring family and friends for music, dancing, great food and drinks, and, of course, lots of quirky family fun! The celebration starts at 9:00 p.m. and admission is FREE. The muskrat drops at midnight, as Princess Anne welcomes 2023! 

 

NEW THIS YEAR - Enjoy live music with Uprizing, free horse-drawn carriage rides, and Marshall Muskrat will dive from a 30ft height, illuminated by a synchronized LED light display. As he dives into the New Year, confetti will fill the air. 

 

Food: 

FREE! Fresh-shucked oysters at our Oyster Bar, straight from the Chesapeake

FREE! Smith Island Cake

Alcoholic beverages and chili bowls will be available for sale at The Washington Inn & Tavern. Squeaky’s Cafe will be open until midnight, offering a menu of soups, salads, wings, sandwiches, and desserts.

FREE! Family-friendly activities throughout the evening, including:

Note: Somerset Avenue will be closed from Broad Street to Prince William Street from 8 pm until 1 am. Parking, just beyond the street closure, is free. 

 

For those who wish to dine at the Washington Inn and Tavern, reservations are being accepted. Call (443) 399-3353. On New Year's Eve the Washington Inn will offer a special menu items & drinks. The restaurant will be open until 9 pm. Food will be available for sale on the porch from 9 pm until midnight. The bar will remain open until 12:30 am. Squeaky’s Cafe will be open and serving food and beverages for the duration of the evening.
